When he was 12, Grégory imagined himself joining Captain COUSTEAU’s team aboard the Calypso…
His dreams of adventure led him to join the French Navy, in August 1995, where he became a navigator and diver. Passionate about nature and photography, he continued his career as a sailor while becoming an author-photographer.
Now a photographer with a passion for nature and adventure, Grégory POL has published several books and contributed to the illustration of others. Most are devoted to the sea, the animal world or adventure. One of his aims is to highlight the biodiversity of France’s overseas territories.
Exposition
For three years, Grégory POL set down his bag in Saint-Pierre and Miquelon, an archipelago at the end of the world, so close to Canada and so far from France.
These islands conjure up images of bank fishing, but we still know very little about them. Only a few lucky people or insiders have been able to explore this incredible archipelago.
Grégory takes us on a photographic exploration born of a genuine love for these islands. The show begins, and he gives us the chance to see and love Saint-Pierre, emerging from the mist and its frozen anchorages: Miquelon, whose fauna delights in inventing fables. Langlade, whose lights send shivers down our spines when a gust of snow veils the horses of this Arctic ponant.
The curtain rises on Saint-Pierre and Miquelon, a land of passions…
