Photographs
Passionate about mountains and great connoisseur of the Northern Alps, Jérôme OBIOLS is attracted by black and white, from his beginnings in photography in the late 90s.
Naturally perfectionist, he strives to create works with an aesthetic character and a graphic design very marked.
Having decided not to resort to aerial photography, he likes to go there, take the time to observe, to wait, to draw inspiration for his works from the beauty and strength of the place.
It shows the high mountains under a particular look, in a subtle balance between fragility and strength. A mountain that is no longer eternal, because threatened by global warming. His photographs are also a witness of our time and the passing of time.
Exposition
4807 m, 4810 m, 4806 m… The heigh of Mont Blanc is changing with the winds, snowfall and measurements by scientists. From wherever it is seen, Mont Blanc attracts all eyes. It sustains passions, dreams and desires.
But Mont Blanc is not just an altitude you learn at school, it is a massif of exceptional richness, diversity of landscapes and beauty.
A kingdom of eternal snow, large glaciers and inaccessible needles, Mont Blanc is also intimately linked to the origins of climbing.
«Mont-Blanc – Origins» is a magnificent exhibition dedicated to black and white alpine photography. It pays tribute to the great alpine photographers and offers a singular vision of the majestic peaks of the Mont-Blanc massif
