WILIPI

WILIPI is a non-profit association under the French 1901 law. Its name sums up its purpose: WIld LIfe PIctures.

WILIPI members include veterinarians, academic photographers, and self-taught wildlife enthusiasts. They live or have lived in mainland France, Australia, Bolivia, French Guiana, Morocco, Mozambique, Réunion, Senegal, Zimbabwe, and China. All are keen travellers, either professionals (such as ship captains or international transport operators) or amateurs.

Their wildlife photographs are taken in natural environments, with full respect for the life and behaviour of their subjects.

Their images are not limited to aesthetic value or the pleasure of photography: on their modest scale, they aim to contribute to the protection of the wildlife they observe.
