WHITE ON WHITE

In the Far North, everything is white: snow, ice, animals, birds… This new exhibit represents 10 years of expeditions in extreme conditions in the Arctic regions, searching for rare emblematic species, in white fur and plumage, on snow and ice: the elusive and unpredictable Arctic Fox, photographed in the steep mountains slopes of Svalbard in winter; Polar Bears in North Canada, as they emerged from the dens; the mythical Snowy Owl in the wild and white landscapes of the Canadian winter; and the birth of Harp Seals on the pack ice. Lots of patience, expectations, hopes, rewards, and at the end, all those encounters that we dreamed of, “White on White”. All these animals from the Arctic regions have one thing in common, a tremendous ability to adapt, in order to survive in frozen environments, where prevail the most hostile living conditions on Earth.
