Fabien and Sophie PEKUS are a couple of veterinarian photographers, passionate about wildlife and travel.
After working for more than 20 years as practicing veterinarians, they decided to make their dream come true and set off on a world tour to discover rare and little-known wild animals. Africa will be the first opus of this odyssey: the “Wildlife Overland” project is born!
Aboard their converted car, the departure takes place, at the end of 2019, towards North Africa, then towards the West of the continent.
Carried by their passion for life, boosted with freedom, amazed by the beauty of nature and driven by fierce determination, they encounter the mythical animal species they have always dreamed of, in the wildest and most inaccessible places in Africa.

Exposition

Fabien and Sophie PEKUS take you to discover the unsuspected wild wonders that inhabit the tropical rainforests of West and Central Africa. To bring back these never-before-seen images, they crossed 21 countries and traveled for more than 4 years.
At a time when general gloom is taking over the joy of living, it seems important to instill a little hope and to show that wildlife and beauty continue in many places.
These wild snapshots show how African forest biodiversity remains rich and alive, beautiful and vibrant. However, the balance is often fragile and threatened.
Nature is capable of incredible resilience, on the condition that we love it enough, to give it a little space and tranquility.
