Photographs
Amateur photographer since 2010, I live in Toulouse where I capture wildlife just a stone’s throw from home. I love revealing the hidden beauty of everyday life, especially in the tiny world of praying mantises, conehead mantis, butterflies, and diverse flora.
My images, often shot wide open and backlit, play with blur and light to create atmospheres reminiscent of paintings.
I photograph exclusively in natural settings, within 5 km of my home, in an approach that is both ecological and dreamlike—highlighting a nearby, accessible nature that anyone can discover.
Exposition
The exhibition “A Year in the Life of a Conehead Mantis” features around twenty images dedicated to the conehead mantis, a fascinating insect I patiently searched for and followed in the wild urban spaces of Toulouse.
Ten years of photography went into documenting its life cycle—from larvae hatching out of the ootheca to the adult in full reproduction, including rare molting scenes.
This series highlights the unique features of the conehead mantis, often mistaken for the more familiar praying mantis.
The prints are made on eco-friendly Washi paper, handcrafted in France using a traditional Japanese technique recognized as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.
