  Photographs

Author Landscape Photographer since 2018, coming from Isère, it is mainly in the atmosphere of altitude that I like to immerse myself. Photography has very quickly imposed itself to me as a memory of these moments. Immersion in an open book on my world, I am here in my place in this frail balance so fragile and so powerful. In search of “my reality” in this environment where very few things are controllable in the end, it is the mountain that lets itself be photographed. I like these doubts, these hopes, this waiting, watching for the moment when I will try to freeze this reality, to explore and search for the graphics, to capture the atmospheres, the lights. The weather sometimes offers me exceptional moments, but also often reminds me that I am only here as a guest. To arouse curiosity by showing my photos is to create an awareness of the fragility of our environment.

Exposition

We are at the beginning of January, 4:00PM. The temperature still drops (-1 0 °), the cold wind strengthens. I went up in the morning on snowshoes on the high plateaus of the SOUTH VERCORS, the sky was cloudy all day long, only the snow sculpted by the cold and the wind, gave relief and depth to the pictures. The weather forecast announces a clearing at the end of the day. Around 5 pm, the veil lifts slightly. The weather forecast may be reliable. The sun declines quickly at this time of the year. Patience pays off and just before sunset, the last rays of the day, filtered by the freezing fog and, on the horizon, by a thin layer of low clouds, transform the cliff into a scene of incredible light for a short time (twenty minutes, no more !) All the pictures of this series were taken the same day 09/01/2021
