Born in 1981 in Nîmes, France, Lauriane GALTIER is a French photographer, author, and lecturer specializing in extreme weather phenomena. Passionate about thunderstorms since her teenage years, she travels thousands of kilometers each year, from France to the United States, to capture lightning, supercells, and spectacular atmospheric landscapes. Her work, both artistic and documentary, is distinguished by its meticulous compositions and masterful understanding of weather conditions. She is recognized at numerous photography festivals and exhibitions. Through her images, lectures, and publications, she shares her fascination with the power of nature and raises public awareness of weather risks with engaging and informative presentations.

Lands of Storms.
Behind each photograph lies a story: a hesitation before stepping forward, a shiver running through my body, a gasp of breath as lightning flashes before me.

Sometimes there is solitude, sometimes that strange tenderness one feels in the face of nature that could sweep us away but which, on this particular night, welcomes us.
These images are fragments of myself.
They tell of my sleepless nights, my races against time, my naive wonder that, despite the years, never fades.
Lands of Storms is more than an exhibition.

It is an open journal. An invitation to feel what I felt: the gentle fear, the immense admiration, and that particular way a storm has of forcing us to confront ourselves.
