While underwater photography has become increasingly popular over the last few years, freshwater underwater photography is still relatively unknown. Why is this? Quite simply, the constraints are omnipresent. Working in freshwater is a real challenge!

My motivation is to be able to convey the pleasure I get from nature, to create a more personal picture with it. In freediving, the change of
dimension is just as physical as it is psychological: total disconnection, osmosis with the environment, serenity and a real sense of fulfilment.

The happiness I derive from spending time in the company of aquatic species, both plant and animal, has strengthened my commitment to the protection and conservation of the biotopes in which they live.

Six feet under the water, life doesn’t represent reality, it expresses its essence. From the crystalline sparkle of an emerging wave to the inhabited depths of our ponds, lakes and rivers, it takes us on a journey, as images gradually reveal themselves. Once our gaze has acclimatised, we discover a whole people of tiny creatures and stunning, moving landscapes.
