Photographs
From a very young age, I’ve been passionate about nature, and birds in particular.
Equipped with a pair of binoculars, I began exploring the gardens and forests of French Guiana, Indonesia, and France, before feeling the need to capture these encounters through photography. My first camera was a waterproof Canon AS-6, a gift from my parents for my eighth birthday, and the adventure continued a few years later with a SLR camera and a 70-300mm lens. I was hooked, and now I’ve been fortunate enough to own a Canon mirrorless camera for several years. A traveler at heart, I explore Scotland and the Shetland Islands.
For the past 15 years, I’ve specialized in Nordic regions, and more specifically, Varanger in Norway.
Exposition
This unique exhibition will accompany the release of my first book. It will be a compilation of the best images from my travels and expeditions in the Arctic over the past 15 years, representing a total of 20 months spent there.
It will primarily feature birds, from the iconic Ruff to the Grey-headed Eider, including the elusive Dotterel and the Long-tailed Skua.
The images present them in their natural habitats throughout the seasons, from the cold winter landscapes to the warm tundra under the low sun of boreal nights. Presenting the region, its species, and raising awareness about respecting this place will be my guiding principle.
