Plumes du Der en hiver
France
Exposition
Lake Der-Chantecoq is one of the largest artificial reservoirs in Europe, classified almost entirely as a Natural Hunting and Wildlife Reserve, managed by the French Office for Biodiversity. In winter, it provides thousands of birds with a migratory stopover or resting place for several months. Through his exhibition "Plumes du Der en hiver" Fabrice Cahez wishes to show the richness of this unique place and the diversity of the species that frequent it, from the most emblematic and visible, such as common cranes to small passerines, passing by the very many ducks, geese, seagulls, cormorants, wild swans and the impressive white-tailed eagle. All the images were taken from authorized locations in order to best restore the magical atmosphere of early winter mornings around the Lac du Der.
