Plumes de mer

After several years spent with my nose in the grass photographing all possible insects and wild flowers, I wanted to enter another universe, to find another source of inspiration. I found my happiness close to home, nose in the sand this time with the main subjects of Canada geese, sandpipers, godwits, seagulls etc., a universe that I did not know and which strongly motivated me and inspired. Like a proxy, I wanted to photograph my subjects by positioning myself at their height, being close enough to them without frightening them, lying on the wet sand. Over the course of the outings, I realized that we could really achieve pretty foregrounds and “bokeh” similar to those achieved in close-up photos. The majority of the shots were taken very early in the morning in backlight or semi-backlight on one and the same beach. I admit to having suffered from certain weather conditions which were quickly forgotten, warm at home in front of the computer to contemplate my images!
