Parc naturel régional de la Forêt d’Orient

On the edge of the Paris basin lies a vast natural space where water, land and forest have joined forces to give birth to a unique territory: the Parc naturel régional de la forêt d’Orient. The 3 reservoir lakes nestled in the deep forests of the Orient bring the happiness to many species, inhabitants of the Park and nature lovers! The Park is also included in the Ramsar area “Etangs de la Champagne Humide”, the largest in metropolitan France and whose importance is internationally recognized. As such, the Park includes the Orient Forest National Nature Reserve, an important site for migratory birds. On the occasion of its 20th anniversary, an exhibition is presented in the refectory to make you discover its characteristics and richness! An exhibition on the Ramsar Etangs de la Champagne Humide area will also be on the stands of the Park and the EPTB Seine Grands Lacs, and will show you the major ecological role played by the wetlands of the site.
