WILIPI
France
Photographs
The name of the association is only a summary of WILIPI’s goals: WIld LIfe PIctures. WILIPI members take photographs of wild animals in their natural environment and with respect for their life and activities. The members of WILIPI are not limited to the pleasure of photography and an aesthetic purpose. They also wish to contribute, by their photos, to the preservation of these animals, in freedom and in the best possible conditions of natural life. The rules of procedure impose on all its members a code of ethics stipulating that the shooting of wild and free animals must be carried out under conditions that do not call into question their well-being, respect and conservation. This code of ethics applies both to the functioning of the site and the association (reviews, comments and advice) and to the rules of respect for the subjects photographed and their environment.
Exposition
WILIPI wants to exalt animal biodiversity in all its wild and free beauty. We wanted to show through this exhibition rare birds, sometimes difficult to photograph, but also strange birds with beaks sometimes disproportionate or very specialized, with extravagant plumages…. Each image will be accompanied by an informative and naturalistic text specifying among other things the name of the photographer, the species, the place of shooting, the status of the species (IUCN), its habitat.
