Photographs
Fine books from Nunataks, a collection created 5 years ago, include some thirty enthusiastic wildlife photographers, who most often followed scientific courses at University, engaged in the cause of study and protection of nature. Among these photographers selected for this exhibition: Raphaël Sané (editor of the collection and coauthor of “Antarctica: Journey to the Peninsula”), Valentin Nivet-Mazerolles (coauthor of “Southern Adventures” et “Secret Steppe”), Maxime Loubon (coauthor of “Secrete Steppe”), Antoine Baglan (author of “French Guiana: On the Biodiversity Paths”), Stéphane Raimond (author of “Wild Seasons” et “Otters Target”), Alain Prêtre (author of “Jura: The Cold Masters”), Bastien Juif (author of “Birds Passion”), Serge Guiraud (author of “Amazonia: The World Order”), Olivier Anrigo (author of “Kenya Safari”), Philippe Garcia and Fabien Zunino (coauthors of “Iceland – Breaths of Life”), Stéphan Bonneau (author of “Water Peoples”), Stéphane Jamme and Samuel Jeglot (coauthors of “Mediterranean Dives”).
Exposition
An ode to biodiversity on which our planetary balance is based. Pictures of the six continents and the four seasons put in light by ecological and naturalistic detailed commentary, to show that the ecosystems that make up our planet are from a single binding and fragile component: life! The exhibition Nunataks combines images quality and scientific rigour, reconciling the pure wonder for nature’s curiosities and beauty, the suggestive charm of wildlife photography and the enlightening power of scientific comments. Its purpose is to create awareness about the richness of world’s biodiversity and help us understand and protect it.
