Photographs
I’m a naturalist by profession and a photographer with a passion for the blue hour. For the past eight years, I’ve been capturing the silhouettes of nocturnal birds of prey in the forests and orchards of the Vosges Mountains and the Alsace Bossue region.
My passion for wildlife observation began at the age of twenty, passed down by my brother during an evening spent watching badgers. Since then, these moments have punctuated my life: they allow me to breathe, refocus, and unwind from everyday life.
Exposition
In France, the majority of nocturnal birds of prey are active from dusk till dawn. They often go unnoticed, and it is generally thanks to their calls that their presence is detected. When we are fortunate enough to observe them during their active hours, our human eyes most often perceive only silhouettes.
Through this exhibition, I therefore wanted to preserve the mystery of these forms, evoke the fleeting atmosphere of the hides, and allow our imaginations to wander.
