Fabrice CAHEZ - Compère du Festival
Photographs
Fabrice CAHEZ is a naturalist writer-photographer from Vosges, passionate about and defender of all wild nature, in particular carnivorous mammals and birds. He is the author of 15 books, including “Terre de Renx”, awarded by the Académie Française, and contributor to several magazines and associations, such as Aspas and the LPO. He is also the organizer of the Natur’images photography festival, in the Vosges, which campaigns in favor of nature and the environment.
Here he presents his latest exhibition and the eponymous work which accompanies it “Les Voiles du marsh” whose photographs were taken during several stays in the heart of the Vendée marshes.
Exposition
Fabrice Cahez has always been passionate about aquatic environments, which welcome a large number of birds throughout the seasons and migrations. After publishing a work on Lac du Der en Champagne in 2022, he did it again in 2024 with a new opus entitled “Les Voiles du Marais” to which he devoted four years.
This exhibition will take us to meet all the emblematic species of the Vendée marshes, such as the famous brachyote or short-eared owl, the numerous waders, stilts, avocets, curlews, knights, without forgetting the harriers, owls and other owls, small passerines like the bluethroat or ducks like shelducks or shovelers.
