Photographs
Michel Jolyot, based in Champagne, his workshop ins in Reims since 1981, he combines photography with journalism, a photo library, exhibitions and publishing, working with several national magazines and a number of illustration and news agencies.
Exposition
“Les Mondes Parallèles by Michel Jolyot” Photographic creations inspired by vines from Champagne and Vaucluse in Provence, tree barks of the so called “Reims mountain” and the Ardennes forest, and lichens… The process is very simple and natural : each high resolution macro photographic image is cropped then inverted, without any artificial modification. These worlds are peopled by fantastic b=creatures and shapes. One may evoque some creations of the belgian writer and painter Henri Michaux, or the psychological test that the swiss Hermann Rorschach developed one century ago, in which subjects’ perceptions of inkblots are recorded and then analyzed using psychological interpretation, complex algorithms, or both.
