Father and son who have been roaming the fields, wastelands, meadows, garigue and maquis, looking for insects for fifteen years. Our preferences go to butterflies and dragonflies but all other insects attract us as well. Living in Belgium, the insects not present in our home that we find in the south of France, where we regularly spend our holidays, attract us particularly.
Eddy is retired and François is a PhD of Biology
Exposition
The Maquis Fairies are beautiful and gracious insects that we have discovered during our many stays in Corsica.
In Balagne, along the sea or in the hills, there are many insects that, in the eyes of a northerner, seem both strange and beautiful, such as mantis, empusa pennata, phasmatodeas, libelloides, etc…
That’s how we discovered this delicate insect, the southern owlfly. Discreet, small and well camouflaged, it is very difficult to find and often our searches have proved unsuccessful.
Fortunately, over the years, we have managed to cross enough, to show you this rare insect, in different facets. We wish you a nice discovery of these Maquis Fairies.
