Exposition
The “Les Ecailles de La Forêt” expedition took place in November and December 2023. It was sponsored by the Fondation Iris and the Société des Explorateurs Français. The project consisted in carrying out an inventory of the herpetofauna of Yasuni Park, on the territory of the Kichwa tribe, in Ecuador. In collaboration with Icham University and the Kichwa community, the team carried out one of the largest inventories in Yasuni National Park. In the end, over a period of 40 days, we were able to observe 140 species of reptiles and amphibians, as well as two species that have yet to be identified (work in progress). background prints and posters explaining the herpetofauna, will be distributed to schools in the Kichwa community.
