Photographs
I was born in 1970 and practice the beautiful profession of architect.
Self-taught in the world of photography since 2014.
Passionate about the animal world since early childhood, I explore my local environment, namely Walloon Brabant, in Belgium, whenever possible.
Fortunately, there are still little-visited corners of nature in our over-urbanized environment. Observing this wildlife delights me every time I go out.
Awards and Distinctions:
In 2019, I won first prize in a national competition. Other awards and nominations will follow.
In 2024, I will present my first exhibition at the Contrexéville Festival, “The Jay in All Its States.” There, I discovered the pleasure of sharing and exchanging with the public and other passionate and fascinating artists.
Exposition
The photos in this exhibition were taken in an abandoned orchard near my home.
For several years now, I’ve had permission to set up a blind there. However, I still have to juggle hunting seasons.
It was from a “tent” blind set up in early fall that I was able to observe a group of four jays during the winters of 2023-24. A common but very shy bird, I thought it would be interesting to present my photos to share my observations of this magnificent bird. And perhaps to encourage a desire to learn more about it.
This first exhibition, presented at the Contrexéville Festival in September 2024, will travel a bit in 2025 and will be featured at the Ain Nature Festival at the end of May, the Captures d’Instants Nature Festival in June, and finally in Montier-en-Der.
