Andrea SANCHINI is a fine art landscape and mountain photographer based in Switzerland. Originally from Italy and inspired by the Swiss Alps, he creates images that reveal the raw beauty of remote and lesser-known alpine regions. Influenced by Romantic painters such as Alexandre CALAME and Caspar WOLF, his work combines technical precision with a painterly vision of light, atmosphere, and landscape.
His photography focuses on glaciers, alpine lakes, and rugged mountain scenery, as well as the subtle environments near the tree line where nature feels most intimate and authentic. Through solo hiking and high-altitude camping, often between 2,000 and 3,000 meters, Andrea develops a deep connection with the places he photographs. Exposition
Through this exhibition, Andrea SANCHINI invites viewers into the majestic landscapes of the Alps. Inspired by the Romantic concept of the sublime, his photographs seek to capture the emotional power, beauty, and serenity of nature through light, atmosphere, and the changing seasons.
From towering peaks and glaciers to waterfalls, alpine lakes, and remote valleys, each image is the result of countless hours spent exploring the mountains, often at dawn or dusk and in demanding conditions. More than landscape photography, these works reflect a personal and contemplative connection with the natural world.
Through a carefully curated selection of twelve fine art photographs, the exhibition offers an invitation to slow down, reflect, and rediscover a sense of wonder.
