A French photographer and filmmaker, Philippe RICORDEL dedicates his work to wildlife and the preservation of endangered species. A passionate globe-trotter, he travels to the most remote territories to document animal diversity in its natural environment, combining an artistic eye with rigorous technical mastery.
His work revolves around a central idea: “bridging the gap between species” — each photograph becoming a mirror of our own humanity, an invitation to rethink our relationship with the wild world.
Author of 冬色 (Fuyu Iro), a book devoted to Hokkaido’s wildlife in winter (Ramsay, 2023), his images are published in Nat’Images, Terre Sauvage, The Guardian, 30 Millions d’Amis, Ça M’intéresse, and Le Figaro Magazine, and distributed by the Naturagency photo agency.
