Michel Denis-Huot has always been fascinated by nature and has loved animals since his childhood. He fell under the spell of the African East wilderness while his first trip to Kenya in 1973, at the age of twenty. Since then, he has been spending several months a year in the bush, mainly at the heart of Masaï-Mara, where he observes and photography African wildlife and its environment privileged with his wife, Christine. Witnesses of the beauty and fragility of nature, they explore the savanna, in real independence aboard their 4x4. For them, photography is not only business, it is above all an expression of a deep attachment to nature and freedom... Their photographic work reveals us a passionate and attentive eye on big cats or elephants they meet year by year. They know the way to strike the atmosphere and capture the light of these grandiose tracts, showing us the great richness and amazing vitality of wildlife. They are the authors of many books about african wildlife as « Passion Nature » in 2016, « Passion Félins » in 2018 et « Pink Kenya » in 2021.Their images are realized with Canon and Fujifilm equipment without forgetting a drone, a Mavic Pro2Exposition
The troop of females in which the young elephant grow up is the holders of the traditional knowledge vital for its survival. He entirely depends on the care of its mother and other members of its family during several years. The level of care is remarkable.
