Photographs
Adrien LESAFFRE is a wildlife photographer and naturalist explorer driven by a lifelong fascination with the natural world. Photography has become his way of combining a passion for wildlife, adventure, and storytelling. Through his travels, he seeks to capture fleeting moments that reveal both the beauty and fragility of nature. For several years, his work has focused on the Ethiopian Highlands, where he documents and studies the Ethiopian wolf, Africa’s rarest canid. Working alongside the Ethiopian Wolf Conservation Programme, he helps raise awareness about the conservation of this endangered species and its unique ecosystem through photography, books, lectures, and documentary filmmaking.
Exposition
Behond the Flowers, is the result of several years of fieldwork dedicated to the Ethiopian wolf, one of the rarest canids on Earth. Created in the Ethiopian Highlands, this exhibition reveals an unexpected behavior: wolves licking the nectar of Kniphofia flowers, their muzzles covered with pollen. These observations contributed to a scientific study published in Ecology, suggesting that Ethiopian wolves may play a role in pollination. Through these images, science and emotion come together to unveil a little-known aspect of the natural world. The exhibition invites visitors to discover the subtle connections between wildlife and plants within the fragile ecosystems of Ethiopia’s mountains.
