Independent photographer living in the Gard department, Thierry VEZON has been dedicated to nature photography since 2004. Although he loves to travel, especially in the far North, his favourite places are in the South of France: Provence, the Camargue, the Cévennes. Specialized in wildlife and landscape photography, he’s devoting very long hours to the lookout, always respecting nature. He is also specialized in aerial photography. He’s collaborating with periodicals in France (Terre Sauvage , Nat’images, Géo…) and abroad (BBC Wildlife magazine, La Salamandre,Naturfoto…) and published, from 2008 to 2024, about twenty books, the last being “Le flamant rose”, “Un voyage en hiver”, and “Cévennes d’arbres et de pierres”, from Alcide editions.
Exposition
Thierry VEZON has been striding the Cevennes since his youth, hoping to contribute in his own way to the protection of nature and the valorization of the Cevennes heritage..
How many emotions felt in this dazzling Cevennes nature in all seasons! The contrasts of the landscapes are so beautiful: Cévenoles and Gardons valleys, granite chaos on Mont Lozère, flamboyant brooms in the spring, in the Aigoual massif, magnificent forests with autumn colours until winter, soft heather in summer …
Blending in with nature, sharing the intimacy of a heron or a Short-toed snake eagle, marveling at the flight of an eurasian griffon vulture, in the Jonte Gorge or in front of the gallop of Przewalski’s horses …
The exhibition tries to translate these emotions!
