  Photographs

The Loire, beautiful and wild, is the area of Jean-Caude PICARD. Beyond the naturalistic approach, his photos reveal a permanent graphic research, to capture the poetry of an attitude or a singular light. He loves the morning moods and the long summer evenings, when the river, with the shimmering colors and the fauna, become complicit. A harmony reveals to the photographer all the splendor of the moment.

Exposition

The great Egrets have been endangered, due to the massive use of their feathers for costume decoration. Total protection has allowed the repopulation of the herd. Birds have colonized all the wetlands of the hexagon. Present in the Loire Valley, JC PICARD has fallen under their spell. In winter, the theatre of nature is illuminated by a show of poetry, with a flickering mist and diffuse lights. The beautiful ladies go about their first occupation – fishing – always with infinite elegance . He captures these magical moments and, through his clichés, reproduces all the gestural beauty and emotion felt.
This series was carried out over three winter years, in a floating, cold-assured awning.
