ASSOCIATION FRANCIS HALLÉ POUR LA FORÊT PRIMAIRE

At the initiative of botanist Francis Hallé, famous worldwide for his work on primary forests, our association acts to allow the rebirth of a primary forest in Western Europe. Concretely, it is a question of enabling the protection of a vast area of European dimension and a large area – about 70,000 hectares – in which an existing forest will develop autonomously, renewing and developing its fauna and flora without any human intervention over a period of several centuries. Several areas are currently being studied to allow the project to be launched on a European space, on the border between France and another country.
