Je suis aquarelliste mais également maman, bio ingénieure et naturaliste. C’est l’amour des belles

I’m a watercolourist, but I’m also a mum, a bioengineer and a naturalist. It’s the love of beautiful images that drives me to share my passion for the beauty of nature with you.

I’ve always had binoculars around my neck, and a pencil and paper to hand, and for the last few years I’ve been bringing these two passions together to illustrate nature at close quarters.

A long-standing preference for birds has led me to create portraits and bird’s-eye views that combine a scientific and ornithological aspect with a place for the blurred, the unexpected and emotions.

As soon as I can, I draw, observe and take my daughters to marvel at the colours and light, in nature.

My secret is to draw as often as possible and enjoy forgetting everything else.

Exposition

The forests, the immense ones where you get lost, the one from my childhood…
Walking through such tall trees, hearing nothing but the crackling leaves and singing birds.
Looking for other living creatures, in the sky, in the branches, between the trunks, knowing that they will see you, feel you long before you do.
To aspire to protection, to get involved, to try to understand, and to be convinced that every drop of wonder can help to protect these places of life.
These watercolours on the theme of ancient forests capture the gaze of Tengmalm’s Owls, Common Ravens and Black Storks.
My work is inspired by photographers who offer me pieces of history to translate with brushes and colours.
