Photographs
Fabrice Cahez is a writer and nature photographer from the Vosges region, passionate about and defending all forms of wildlife, particularly carnivorous mammals and birds. He is the author of 16 books, including “Terre de renard” (Land of the Fox), which won an award from the French Academy, and a contributor to several magazines and associations, such as ASPAS and the LPO. He also organizes the Natur’images photography festival in the Vosges. In Montier-en-Der, he will present his latest work, “A l’espère” (On the Lookout), which takes us on a journey to observe wild mammals, along with the accompanying exhibition.
Exposition
For this new book and the accompanying exhibition, I’ve chosen to take readers and visitors “In Search of” the wild mammals of my Vosges region. This marks a return to my roots after two books dedicated to birds, first those of Lac du Der, then those of the Vendée marshes.
I invite them to approach or wait with me for the fox hunting voles, the wildcat crouching, the marten appearing, the roe deer leaping, the stag bellowing at the edge of a wild forest bathed in mist and sunlight, and above all, to open their eyes and ears, to feel and breathe in the authentic nature close at hand.
