Freelance photographers, our passion for Africa has always been part of our life. Our fascination for this continent dates back to our childhood, it contains a part of mystery that we may never explain to ourselves. Our first contact with her was a real shock. It was raw and mystical at the same time, as if the evidence suddenly appeared to us. A return to origins, to the essential, a dive into our animal part. For more than 25 years, unconditional lovers of this continent, we have traveled its dusty tracks. Photography allows us to express the intensity of the emotions that we can feel in contact with nature. We like to convey through our images the fascinating, fragile and ferocious, powerful and mystical world, sublime in our eyes, of wildlife. Beyond our exhibitions, the release of our story book “Le Chant de la Savane” in 2022 is an illustration of this.
Exposition
Sapiens observes. He will draw in the depths of the caves what he sees, what he dreams, mixing mysticism, incantation and fascination for the nature of which he is a part. In the depths of the earth, the animals come alive, they are in motion, they roar or clash their horns, they seem to emerge from the walls. The drawings shine and move us to tears, making the mystery of beauty vibrate within us. Through the images of decorated caves, our distant ancestors have transmitted a heritage to us. We wanted to cross our eyes with those of these artists, by superimposing our images on their creations. We have lost the sense of the dialogue between men, rock and animals, buried for tens of thousands of years, sheltered from light, overwhelming… However, with the camera, we reconnect with the animal, immersed in nature, fascinated observers, in the footsteps of our ancestors.
