Montier Photo Festival

From May 28 to June 1, 2025, the 17th Camargue Festival will open its doors in Port Saint Louis du Rhône, just days before the United Nations Ocean Conference in Nice. This coincidence reminds us how protecting the seas and oceans is a global, but also a local, issue.

Isabelle AUTISSIER will be the patron of this new edition. Renowned navigator and honorary president of WWF France, she celebrates these vast blue expanses that shape our planet. Through her commitment and her stories, she perfectly embodies this quest for reconciliation between humanity and the marine world.

Among the guests of honor, photographer, diver and freediver Thomas ROGER offers us a unique immersion with his exhibition “Feasts of Kings,” revealing the fascinating food gatherings of the oceans.

At the same time, the Argos Collective is alerting us to the links between oceans and climate through their powerful exhibition “The Boomerang,” a poignant reminder of the impact our choices have on marine and terrestrial ecosystems.

The Camargue Festival is also an invitation to reconnect with the region. Through nature outings, participants will be able to explore the riches of the Camargue, from its ponds to its reed beds, true havens for biodiversity. Every day, Port Saint Louis du Rhône will vibrate to the rhythm of conferences, workshops, screenings, and activities, in an educational approach aimed at raising awareness among young and old about the importance of preserving our environment.

In this context of climate change and increased pressure on our ecosystems, the Camargue Festival stands out as a beacon of hope and action. Together, let’s listen to the voices of those who defend our seas and oceans, and become actors of a future where these spaces remain a source of life, inspiration, and wonder.

Join us from May 28 to June 1 to celebrate, learn, and take action on behalf of the oceans and nature!
