Montier Photo Festival

For its 18th edition, the Camargue Festival invites you to Port Saint Louis du Rhône from May 13 to 17, 2026, and throughout the Camargue, in the heart of a territory shaped by water, wind and life.

Hans Silvester, patron de la 18th edition

Patron of the 18th Camargue Festival, Hans Silvester took his first steps as a photographer in 1958 in the Camargue. For over 60 years, he has offered a poetic perspective on the Camargue and the connection between humankind and nature. These images of this unique territory subsequently opened the doors to an international career. Faithful to the region where he was born as an artist, he returns time and again, retracing here six decades of observations, landscapes, and encounters.

Guest photographers

Honored guests, including renowned photographers, are joining the Festival to raise public awareness of the environmental beauty that surrounds us.
Olivier Larrey and Éric Le Go present the polar regions that have fascinated humankind for centuries with their exhibition “Memory of Ice,” while Jean-Michel Lenoir invites us to a sensitive reflection on our relationship with the world with his exhibition “Horizon.”

La Ciénaga de Zapata (Cuba) in the spotlight!

This year, the festival will celebrate wetlands and biodiversity, with a particular focus on the Ciénaga de Zapata Biosphere Reserve in Cuba, which recently entered into a partnership with the Camargue Biosphere Reserve. This dialogue between two emblematic territories illustrates the importance of international exchanges for better understanding, protecting, and sharing knowledge about life.

An opportunity to discover, exchange ideas and commit to supporting life.
