Jacques GILLON has had several lives and a passion that lasts for more than 50 years: photography of nature and wildlife. He travelled around the globe in every corner, to witness the biodiversity of the wild world.
During the last decades, the equipment has undergone several revolutions to lead today to powerful shooting tools. This is how Fujifilm Ambassador Jacques went from manual to fully automatic with subject detection using AI.
He has also been involved in wildlife conservation, donating his time to sanctuaries for chimpanzees in Africa and sloths in South America.
Exposition
The exhibition is an invitation to share a photographic journey that lasted more than half a century. The photos are taken from the book «Instants Sauvages, 50 ans de photographie animalière». The first pictures, in black and white and color, are the testimony of another era. The last were taken in an area where wildlife is in great danger; it is the primate, the red-shanked douc in Vietnam.
