Theo Bosboom est un photographe hollandais passionné, spécialisé dans la nature et les paysages. En 2013, il a tourné le dos à une brillante carrière officielle, pour poursuivre son rêve de photographe professionnel à plein temps. Il est considéré comme un créatif à l’œil aiguisé pour les détails et la composition, courant toujours après de nouvelles perspectives. Les photos de Theo sont régulièrement publiées dans des magazines comme National Geographic, (édition hollandaise), Outdoor Photography et BBC Wildlife. Il a remporté de nombreux prix et obtenu la reconnaissance, dans des concours internationaux comme Wildlife Photographer of the Year et European Photographer of the Year. Il a publié trois ouvrages : Iceland pure (2012), Dreams of wilderness (2015) et Shaped by the sea (2018).
Theo Bosboom is a passionate photographer from the Netherlands, specialising in nature and landscapes. In 2013, he turned his back on a successful legal career to pursue his dream of being a fulltime professional photographer. He is regarded as a creative photographer with a strong eye for detail and composition and always trying to find fresh perspectives. Theo’s photographs are regularly published in magazines such as National Geographic (Dutch edition), GEO, Outdoor Photography and BBC Wildlife magazine. Theo has won numerous awards and recognition in international photography competitions like Wildlife Photographer of the year and European wildlife photographer of the year. Theo has published three photo books: Iceland pure (2012), Dreams of wilderness (2015) and Shaped by the sea (2018).
Exposition
Dans son dernier projet " Shaped by the sea " (Façonné par la mer), le photographe hollandais Theo Bosboom a sillonné les côtes européennes de l’Atlantique, à travers chaque saison et par tous les temps. Le projet qui porte sur plusieurs années l’a conduit sur des plages remarquables-connues ou inconnues- en Norvège, Islande, Iles Faroe, Ecosse, Irlande et Irlande du Nord, France, Portugal et Espagne. Son livre Shaped by the sea est un hommage à la puissance de la mer et la dynamique des côtes. Il présente la façon, dont la mer change et remodèle constamment le paysage, il met en lumière quelques créatures qui vivent dans l’estran (comme, par exemple, les berniques et les escargots de mer) et révèle la variété de particularités géologiques le long des côtes de l’Europe de l’Ouest. Tout ceci photographié dans un style qui lui est personnel, en mettant l’accent sur les détails et souvent avec un regard neuf. For his new photo project Shaped by the sea (façonné par la mer) photographer Theo Bosboom from the Netherlands explored the Atlantic coast of Europe, in every season and in all kind of weather conditions. The multi-year project lead him to spectacular beaches – both known and unknown – in Norway, Iceland, the Faroe Islands, Scotland, Ireland, Northern Ireland, France, Portugal and Spain. The book Shaped by the sea is a tribute to the power of the sea and to the dynamics of the beach. It shows how the sea is constantly changing and shaping the landscape, it highlights some of the creatures living in the intertidal zone (for instance the limpets and seasnails) and it reveals the variety of geological features along Europes west coast. All this photographed in his own personal style, with a focus on details and often with a fresh perspective.
