Originally from the Sarthe region, since 1990 I have been exploring nature to bear witness to its richness but also its fragility. My priority is not simply to take photos, but above all to share my passion for nature. Raising awareness and, thereby, educating the widest possible audience about the protection and conservation of nature are, in my opinion, major challenges for our society today in order to pass on this heritage to future generations… and photography remains an excellent medium for achieving these goals. A biologist and ecologist by training, I am increasingly trying to delve deeper into the study of various ecosystems, describing their functioning and the interactions between species and their environment.
Exposition
Faced with climate change, forests play a vital role in mitigating global warming. Forests are carbon sinks and also act as natural air conditioners for our planet. But forests also represent 80% of terrestrial biodiversity! Every species plays a key role in the functioning of the forest. With the growth of the world’s population, forests are suffering and are declining globally. Preserving forests means preserving biodiversity. Protecting biodiversity means protecting forests and our planet. “Secret and Wild Forest” is a contemplative walk to discover the biodiversity of our forests, their trees, and their animals, from the largest… the deer, to the smallest, the springtail.
