Antoine Corcket explores the slopes of the Alpine mountain ranges around Grenoble throughout the seasons. In all kinds of weather, he sets out alone for several days in the mountains, immersing himself in the environments where the animals he comes to observe live.
As a wildlife photographer, Antoine always works with respect and passion, limiting as much as possible his impact on Alpine wildlife and its environment. His approach is based on monitoring and observing his subjects over several weeks, several months, or even several years. This allows him to gain a deeper understanding of the behaviour and habits of the individuals he wishes to photograph. His images show animals in their natural environment, sometimes in challenging weather conditions, or frozen in the middle of an action.
As a mountain guide, he also shares his passion with others in the field.
Exposition
From snow-covered peaks to mountain streams, from misty forests to the depths of caves, immerse yourself in these environments alongside the wildlife of the Belledonne, Vercors and Chartreuse mountain ranges.
Perfectly adapted to the demanding conditions of these habitats, Alpine species are remarkable for their diversity, beauty and uniqueness. These photographs, presented in five series, showcase animals that are characteristic of the French Alps. Some of the species featured are iconic, such as the chamois and the Alpine ibex, while others are more discreet, such as the white-throated dipper, the mountain hare, the Eurasian pygmy owl and the boreal owl.
For each series, a poem inspired by the haiku tradition connects the images, telling part of these Alpine stories.
