Photographs
Naturalist, geographer, and photographer Maxime BRIOLA dedicates his work to discovering and sharing the challenges related to biodiversity. Through the books, exhibitions, and films he creates with the association Regard du Vivant, he shares his knowledge and perspective on the living world with a wide audience.
For several years, the vast deserts of Namibia have held a special place in his work. He leads photographic expeditions there to discover remarkable wildlife adapted to one of the most demanding environments on the planet. Committed to combining photography and conservation, he has developed a partnership with the Desert Lion Project to help fund initiatives for the preservation of desert wildlife.
Exposition
No one can remain unmoved by the natural forces that have forged, and continue to shape, the Namib Desert, considered one of the oldest deserts in the world. Subjected to millions of years of erosion, the rocks have given rise to spectacular landscapes in a thousand shades of ochre. The exhibition “From Sand to Life” offers both a naturalist and aesthetic perspective on the Namib landscapes and the species that have adapted to the extreme conditions of the desert.
