When I was younger, I drove through France to photograph storms, which took a lot of my time and especially a lot of energy; something that today seems more difficult to me because of my professional and family life. However, this pleasure that I felt with each impact, facing the elements, I also found it by photographing nature.
Then, macrophotography presented itself to me quite naturally, since a macro lens is already financially more affordable than a long focal length and I did not have to travel half of France to find subjects: the garden of my mother-in-law was the perfect example.
I particularly like to work in large aperture; I find that it gives the photo a depth and a more dreamlike universe.
Exposition
The adventure of an ant drawing its way, over its peregrinations.
Simple paths to the most complex, writing its way in spite of itself, done and redone many times.
Exploring each crossing, intersection, relentlessly, it goes back and forth through the writings of its quest.
Never ceasing, like a writer, seeking in the drawings and words read, a pittance for its colony.
But it is an artist, criss-crossing the volutes and circumspections of the paths walked, lingering here and there, without seeking the simplest, on the contrary, leaving its mind to create paths with calligraphic appearances; as a message to pass on to those which follow it.
To tell its journey, just by its itinerary…and its imagination.
