  Photographs

As an amateur photographer, I’ve been passionate about nature photography for 16 years. I’m particularly interested in macro photography, with a predilection for flowers, butterflies and springtails. Landscapes, especially at night, also attract me, as does astrophotography.
I like to vary the approach in my photos. Close-ups attract me, but I also like to emphasize the atmosphere around the main subject. I can use techniques that are a little complex, but I also like simplicity…
What I particularly like about macro photography is that, wherever you live, you can find subjects close to home, without having to make long journeys… In short, it limits the ecological impact that my passion for photography can have.

Exposition

Photographing wild orchids is a passion for me. I can’t wait for April to see the first species to bloom in my region. I can find around twenty different orchids. In France, however, there are around 160 species in bloom from February to September.
I like to photograph the details of the flowers, especially those of the Ophrys genus, which imitates certain insects to attract them and encourage pollination. But I’m also interested in wide shots that show the biotope or the atmosphere of the place. And if I see an insect on an orchid, I jump at the chance…
The images presented here were taken in Oise, where I live, in Aveyron and finally in the Vercors.
