Photographs
Most of my work is based on the search for harmony in a minimalist composition. The photographic career, aided by artistic retouching, is an asset in improving my compositions. For a landscape or a drop of water, the spectator must to find there its own interpretation without will of a message particular. There are over a million species of fungi in the world, including 15,000 to 30,000 in France alone. All so different in shape, color, size and lifespan that they fascinate with their abilities, their adaptability and their properties. The idea is to highlight these carpophores in shots allowing to appreciate their beauty and their graphics and under a dreamlike angle. My series of photos is not intended to be a slide show on the French mycology but a valuation of these magnificent living beings.
Exposition
I called this exhibition “of spores and light”. Mushrooms are all so different in shape, color, size and lifespan that they fascinate with their abilities, adaptability and properties. The idea is to highlight these carpophores in shots allowing to appreciate their beauty and their graphics and from a dreamlike angle. My series of photos is not intended to be a slideshow on French mycology but rather an appreciation of these magnificent living beings. The artistic approach voluntarily ignores any distracting element by promoting the reading of the graphics of the mushrooms. The particular lighting gives them a more mystical appearance in the shade of the undergrowth. The specific treatment of light and colors leaves the viewer with a personal vision and interpretation of the beauty of these thumbnails.
