Philippe MOËS
Belgique
Photographs
Philippe Moës started nature photography more than thirty years ago. He graduated in agronomy as well as in teaching methods as he was concerned about passing on his knowledge and developing people’s awareness. He is the author and photographer of 13 books, almost all of which are dedicated to the natural heritage of Western Europe. Particularly sensitive to animal landscapes and ephemeral lights, Philippe won prestigious prizes in several major international competitions including ones held in the USA, Russia, Finland, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, France, and Belgium. Active in community life, he occasionally gives training courses in nature photography (in Belgium and sometimes abroad) for the benefit of his non-profit association Nat’eveil. For more information, see www.photos-moes.be
Exposition
Through dialogues between (local) photographs and (universal) quotations, the reader is invited to reconnect with his or her own roots as well as with those of the wild Ardenne’s forest where the pictures have been taken.
