Photographs
Graduated as an engineer with a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Signal and iImage Processing, professor of mathematics, I taught in high school and engineering school after a stint as researcher at the Astronomy Laboratory of Marseille. A recent retirement allows me to devote myself fully to my passion for photography. I have always been interested in taking photographic images. This combines very technical support (camera and post-processing) with a creative and artistic vision. Originally, my goal was to take souvenir photos (family or travel). The transition to digital has been an opportunity to create photo books. Quickly, the limits of my work became apparent to me. Obligatory transition from compact to bridge, then from bridge to reflex… But putting theoretical knowledge into practice is not so easy and the result was not up to my expectations! Quality equipment is a necessary condition (and still…) but not sufficient to take good photos. Also, with my husband, we registered a few years ago with a photo club that is a member of the Fédération Photographique de France (FPF). Photo analysis, criticism (constructive!) and confrontation with other photographic sensitivities have contributed to changing my view of shooting and post-processing. I participated in many competitions, internal to the Federation, but also international, and the results obtained allowed me to obtain the EFPF and EFIAP/Silver distinctions. Passionate about animal photography, in particular large African fauna and humanist photography, I fell in love with Namibia with its grandiose landscapes, its endearing populations, its culture and its history, rich, exhilarating, dramatic and paradoxically, bearer of hope. Since more than ten years I keep photographing the elephants, who gave me wonderful memories and great emotions.
Exposition
