Passionate about nature since childhood, Teddy learned to recognize animal behaviour in the footsteps of his father. He discovered this passion for wildlife photography with the acquisition of a small digital compact in 2006. Very quickly seduced by the «virus» called « nature and wildlife photography », he carried away by this activity and left for adventure in his Lorraine campaign to capture the greatest moments of wildlife.

Now at 26 yeras old, this passion is the daily life of this native of Damelevières, he is on nature’s lifetime every season, wishes to live great emotions :  « I really like to work on my images and my subjects according to the avalaible lights : to do this, you need to know the habits of the animal species that I’m looking for and the environments in which they live. So I spend a lot of time in the field to understand, analyze, track and thus think about the best blinds that will allow me to realize the expected meeting. For me, the encounter is emotionally stronger than taking a photography, and therefore much more important. I am satisfied with a wonderful observation, as well as a cliché! Nature is a source of inspiration but also a source of teaching, field trips are always very informative and allow me to learn even more everyday». Deeply involved in nature and environment, and he made Nature his business. Currently, he is working as a task officer in a consulting firm on environment.

The young man also contributes to other concrete actions by actively participating in naturalistic follow-up for some associations, by making available some naturalistic data on high-stakes species and also by raising public awareness of the importance of preserving natural ecosystems.

« My job allows me to invest myself in the protection of natural environments and species, it also helps me to meet all the socio-professional actors of Nature and to better understand the complexity of the problems that currently reign. I like to feel responsible, so these missions are contributing to the environmental cause ».

Self-entrepreneur photographer, Teddy also offers training courses in naturalistic bases, and publishes self-published books. His first book «Lorraine par Nature» was published in 2017 and is now sold out. The second book is published in June 2021 and will talk about his naturalistic getaways in search of big predators. He has also distinguished himself in some world-renowned international contests (Montier-en-Der, Namur etc…) and had the honour of being awarded the IRIS-Terre Sauvage Scholarship in 2018. He regularly publishes reports in specialized press magazines such as « Nat’Images », « Terre Sauvage » and « Image&Nature » for example.

Exposition

We enter step by step into a purely wild world, in the footsteps of the wildlife photographer, looking for great emotions. Teddy Bracard was interested in three known but not enough animal species, and his curiosity led him to learn more about the great predators of Europe: the Brown Bear, the Grey Wolf and the Boreal Lynx. The young man went on three different quests across three lands to try to meet these species in their natural environment,

His project was built during 7 years, first in Slovenia on the tracks of the Brown Bear where, each summer,Teddy tracked this animal in the combes and the beautiful meadows of this country.

He then continued in Italy, in Abruzzo to learn about the behaviours of the Grey Wolf, and try to understand how the locals live with this mythical and this much coveted animal.

He finally went to the French Jura with the hope of meeting the grail of all nature enthusiasts, the Boreal Lynx, this enigmatic animal that lives to the upper chain of this massif.
