AFPAN \u00ab l&#8217;Or Vert \u00bb renews its commitment for a more sustainable event.<\/p>\n<h2>Sustainable communication supports<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Environmentally responsible communication : certified paper, electronic media.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Sustainable transport<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Promoting public transport.<\/li>\n<li>Promoting car-sharing.<\/li>\n<li>Shuttles and a tourist train are available to travel to each venue.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Saving energy<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Installation of LED lights on the exhibitions.<\/li>\n<li>Saving energy year round : switching off appliances after use, choosing energy-saving appliances, and no use of unnecessary electronic equipment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Catering<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>A food venue at Chapiteau with an environmentally responsible caterer.<\/li>\n<li>Local producers market and organic vegetable soups (with wooden cutlery).<\/li>\n<li>Environmentally responsible sourcing of food and merchandizing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Waste management<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Improving waste recycling before, during and after the Festival, sorting waste thanks to appropriate recycling bins and volunteers dedicated to its supervision.<\/li>\n<li>Keeping the venues clean, avoiding litter pollution.<\/li>\n<li>Minimizing waste: reuse the equipment (dishes, glasses, stands, signage\u2026).<\/li>\n<li>Minimizing use of disposable products.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Public awareness campaign<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Increasing the exhibitors, volunteers, partners and the public\u2019s awareness of environmental issues.<\/li>\n<li>Raising schoolchildren\u2019s awareness through a specially designed programme.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Communication<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Getting involved and developing an eco-citizenship initiative by reporting on our actions for sustainable development.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Local development<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Working with local companies to minimize the effects of transport.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>With the support of the Grand-Est Region<br \/>\nThe International Wildlife and Nature Photo Festival has always attached great importance to environmental issues and sustainable development.
