After studying in interior architecture in Paris, I decided to return to my native Blaisoise region, to find a way of life more in touch with nature. So, settled between the Loire and the Sologne, drawing the local fauna became a way of getting to know the species in my direct environment.
Exposition
The exhibition is a series of portraits of animals encountered in our gardens, countryside, forests and along rivers. The drawings are detailed and subtle, a patient process using graphite on paper. Each one requires many hours of thought, creation and attention.
While colour often accentuates animal beauty, black and white allows a different approach to the subject. A great deal of space is left to the white background, and depending on the painting, we can see a garden that has disappeared or a sky filled with freedom…
