Photographs
Alsatian, born in 1966, in Gabon.
A longtime fisherman and always contemplative, I have a predilection for my region of northern Alsace.
As soon as I acquired a DSLR, the rods gradually remained on the racks, and the camera was never without me. Self-taught, I have been practicing photography for about fifteen years. By choice, I favor the aesthetic rather than the naturalistic aspect of an image.
In addition to sharing, I am happy if I can raise awareness among young and old about the beauty, fragility, and discovery of this wild world close to home. This is why 95% of my images are taken within a radius of less than 30 km from my home.
Exposition
These owls live near us, they are linked to the men who help them directly or indirectly. I took them on the windows of an abandoned barn. Everything started from there, some images of little owls taken in their natural environment, including one on an old window of an old agricultural workshop, my partner then had the idea of putting the photos in windows serving as a frame. There was reflection on the aesthetics of the visual rendering but also study of what we have become, people imprisoned in our comfort although being in nature… These windows open onto a world that invites us to reflect… Windows that plunge us into a world of beauty. Past, present, future, It’s up to us to act!
