  Conférenciers

Born in 1946, Yann ARTHUS-BERTRAND has always been passionate about the animal world and natural spaces. Very quickly, he uses the camera to record his observations in addition to writing. In 1992, he launched the photographic project on the state of the world and its inhabitants: The Earth View From Heaven. Extending his commitment to the environmental cause, he created the GoodPlanet Foundation. Since 2005, this recognised public utility organization has been involved in environmental education and the fight against climate change. It is this commitment that earned him the title of “Goodwill Ambassador” of the United Nations Environment Programme in 2009. He then began making several documentaries on the environment and humanism… Home (2009) Thirst for the World (2012) Planet Ocean (2012) Human (2015) Terra (2015) Woman (2019)

The courage of truth 10 years after the film Home, which was a worldwide success, Yann ARTHUS-BERTRAND returns, with LEGACY, about his life and forty years of commitment. A personal film, where the photographer and director delivers a sensitive and radical vision of our world that he has seen degrade for a generation. Behind the beauty of his images, he reveals a planet more suffering than ever, a confused humanity, lying to itself for decades, unable to take seriously the threat that hangs over it and all living things. Today, no one can ignore the ongoing ecological catastrophe. Denial is no longer an option. It is our survival on Earth that is at stake and we are all responsible for it. This truth, LEGACY gives us the reasons and the courage to face it in order to be able finally to commit to the path of a humanity reconciled with its nature.
